From Las Vegas, NM travel East on State Route-65 for 46 miles to the intersection with State Route-104. Bear Right onto State Route-104 and travel Southeast for 12 miles to the intersection with a good Southwest running dirt road. Turn Right onto this dirt road and travel Southwest for 1.75 miles. At this point the dirt road you are on will join County Road C-58 and continue due West. Continue to travel West on County Road C-58 for 4 miles to the intersection with a North running dirt road. Turn Right onto this road and travel due North for 1.82 miles. At this point there will be an intersection with a faint East running dirt road. Turn Right onto this road and travel East for 1.12 miles to the intersection with a good North-South running dirt road. Turn Left on this road and travel North for .3 of a mile to where the road turns 90-degrees to the East. Follow the road East for .87 of a mile to the intersection with a North-South running road. Turn Left and travel North for .49 of a mile to the intersection with a faint East-West running road. Turn Right at this road and travel East for .22 of a mile. At this point the property is located on the Left (North) side of the faint dirt road. Roads leading to the property may not have been completed and road signs may not be present. Only a small percentage of San Miguel County land is privately owned with the remainder owned by the Federal and State governments. This leaves a very limited amount of land available for private ownership. Out of the privately owned portion, fewer and fewer places remain where one can enjoy privacy and the amenities that will provide peace of mind and relative freedom. The county seat is located in Las Vegas (60 miles away) a town where most of the buildings downtown are protected on the National Historic Register. From there it is only a hour drive to the beautiful town of Santa Fe. Other nearby communities include Conchas Dam (25 miles away), Santa Rosa (60 miles away), and Tucumcari (50 miles away).

The City of Las Vegas is the county seat and it draws people from all over not just for shopping and county government, but it is a beautiful historic city and a center of educational opportunities in northern New Mexico. Las Vegas is home to the New Mexico Highlands University which currently has a student body of 3000 students that is projected to grow to 5000 over the next few years. This beautiful campus houses a full featured university with undergraduate and graduate programs that cover a wide range of disciplines. In addition Las Vegas is also home to the Armand Hammer United World College. This two year program is open to students from more then 80 countries, who come together with the purpose of uniting diverse people and working towards peace and better conflict resolution. The presence of this unique institution in Las Vegas speaks to the city's universal acclaim and recognition around the world. Most of the city's downtown is preserved on the National Historic Registry (a total of 918 buildings). This coupled with the surrounding natural beauty and diversity of the place makes it a popular location for filming major Hollywood motion pictures. Often many of the town's residents are employed as movie extras. After visiting the area, the cities charm has led more then one movie star to take up permanent residence in the hills surrounding the town.

Attractions - One of the state's largest lakes includes 60 miles of varied shoreline, secluded coves, canyons, and sandy beaches. Ancient rock formations date back to the Age of Dinosaurs. Observant visitors may discover the fossils of ancient sea creatures.
Recreation - Conchas Lake State Park offers a wide variety of water sport activities including boating, fishing and water-skiing at this refreshing, 25-mile long reservoir.
Anglers can catch walleye, largemouth bass, channel catfish, bluegill, and crappie.
Climate - Annual precipitation is 15.8 inches. Summer temperatures range from lows around 63 to highs around 92. Winter temps range from lows of 25 to highs around 54.
